Common Technical Issues: SUZUKI RM125

BRAND: SUZUKI
MODEL: RM125
YEARS: 98-00
CATEGORY: DIRT BIKE

TECHNICAL ISSUE DETAILS
The stator on these RM125 models consists of a plate with a pickup coil and a 6-pole stator on which ONLY TWO poles are wound as a source coil providing power for the CDI. Ignition failure causes: 1) Bad stator source coil, which is a very common fault. Check the resistance of the stock stator. Replace with ESC476 (ignition only) or ESL476 (ignition & lighting output) 2) CDI unit failed. NOT VERY COMMON AT ALL. Replace the CDI if the stator, ignition coil and all connections test out fine and the bike still has no spark.

Suzuki had a mid year change with there CDI boxes. This CDI box switch changed the plug on the stator. Please make sure that before ordering our stator that you check your OEM unit to make sure ours looks identical to the one that is one your bike If your Stator looks different than the one we have listed on our website than ours will not work. Unfortunately your only options would be to purchase the OEM unit. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
